Medical Informatics and Intelligent Diagnosis

Researches have been carried out on the detection, processing, and simulation methods of multiple physiological signals, novel technologies in medical signal detection and processing, novel methods in medical imaging, novel processing and analysis methods on the multimodal medical signals and images, as well as their clinical application in intelligent diagnosis. We focus on the following directions: the detection, processing and simulation of multiple physiological signals, such as EEG, ECG, EMG, blood pressure, blood flow, breath, and physiological acoustic signals; the detection of physiological signals in the muscle movement based on flexible sensing technology; the theoretical and experimental study on the in-vivo and noninvasive detection and assessment of cardiovascular and pulmonary function; the detection and processing of medical ultrasound signals and elastic ultrasound imaging; the analysis and information fusion methods on multimodal medical images; surgical training, planning, and navigation based on physiological system simulation and medical virtual reality technology; the neural connectomics and cognitive neuroscience based on quantitative neuroimaging; the structural and functional analysis on in-vivo tissues based on optical coherence tomography; the novel diagnosis technologies based on label-free coherent Raman spectroscopic imaging and fluorescence molecular imaging; near infrared imaging and its application in cerebral function research of high spatio-temporal resolution; novel intelligent diagnosis technologies such as artificial intelligence and medical big data.
